Foster4 Cheshire East, Cheshire West, Halton & Warrington Councils
Fostering isn't just about putting a roof over a child's head, it's about giving them a loving home and a brighter future. Building on our recent successes, the four Local Authorities in Cheshire are now working together to promote fostering and recruit even more foster carers.
For all sorts of reasons children may not be able to stay at home with their families and the rely on the support and commitment of our foster carers who offer them a safe and loving home. This can be on an emergency (for a few days), short-term, long-term, short-breaks (for children with disabilities) or respite basis.
We are actively recruiting more foster carers for children of all ages, especially sibling groups, older children and teenagers, who can offer long and short term homes. We want our foster carers to be as diverse as the children they look after, from all different walks of life, cultures and ages.
We provide all of the equipment you need such as bedroom furniture, bedding, car seats or prams for example. We also provide generous weekly allowances, mileage and holiday payments. You do not usually pay tax on fostering allowances and they do not usually affect any benefits you may already receive.
If you’re great with children, have a spare bedroom and are looking for a flexible, home-based role that makes a huge difference to the lives of young people, visit our website or give us a call to request an information pack. Alternatively, come along to our next information session to find out more, meet our friendly team, chat with experienced foster carers and take the next step.
